Port of Seattle Waterfront Redevelopment Plan
Seattle, Washington

GOAL
To identify successful redevelopment strategies for Seattle’s central waterfront.

CHALLENGE
To create a plan that included water uses, economic viability and community acceptance.

OUTCOME
A master plan that was fully developed by the Port of Seattle.

Jonathan Rose Companies provided planning services to the Port of Seattle for the redevelopment of its central waterfront.

The team’s work began with advising the Port Authority on which waterfront properties to purchase. The planning effort then centered on: master planning; property development for appropriate mixed-uses; defining economic terms of disposition; and finally, leading the planning phase of work through the final design and approval process.

The Seattle central waterfront has since been fully developed in accordance with the plan
provided by our team.
